How the Dial Works
The 'Marksman' (or 'Shooting') watch is for shooters who send rounds long distances, in wind, under pressure, and want non-caliber specific ballistic info where they can easily access it—on their wrist.
Crosswind Correction:
The numbers around the edge of the dial are crosswind correction factors—same as the cosine values you'd use in a ballistic calculator.
- Figure out the wind’s direction on the clock. (e.g. wind from 1 o’clock)
- Find that hour mark on the dial.
- Multiply your wind speed by the number shown.
That gives you the effective crosswind speed to use when calculating your hold.
- Example: 10 mph wind from 1 o’clock → factor at 1 = 0.5, so 10 × 0.5 = 5 mph is your effective crosswind ...That 5 mph is what you plug into your ballistic data—not the full 10.
MIL to MOA Conversion:
If you treat the hour markers as MILs, then the inner track is your MOA equivalents. This way, if your data and your scope aren’t in the same system, you can quickly convert between them without a chart or your phone. It’s a visual reference that saves time and prevents mistakes.
- Example: You want to know the MOA equivalent to 5 MILS, so you look at 5 o'clock marker, and then look at the numbers in the inner tract and find the number corresponding to 5, which is 17.2 MOA, in this case.
